Amazon and Rivian Automotive developed a line of electric delivery vans, that are now ready to hit the road.
By the end of this year, Amazon said it anticipates having thousands of electric vans in more than 100 locations, marking the first step toward its objective of having 100,000 electric delivery cars on American roads by 2030.
Manufactures for Amazon’s Electric Vehicles
In 2019, Amazon founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos stepped on stage at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., to announce that the business has acquired 100,000 electric vehicles from the startup to achieve net-zero carbon emissions throughout its operations by 2040.
Amazon showed a van prototype in October 2020, and the cars were tested in many locations in 2021. Amazon now claims it will employ electric cars to make deliveries in a number of locations.
